You know that flushed look you get after spending time outside in the cold? Your cheeks and nose are a little red and you have a subtle glow? While I personally am not built for the winter, I do love the flushed effect that comes with cold air. It’s no wonder the look is now trending, and you can get it with just three products—without stepping foot outside. It’s officially time to swap out your sunkissed makeup for the “I’m cold” look—here’s how.
Blurred, matte complexion
Since we’re emulating the effect of being in cold wind, a matte finish complexion formula is the way to go.
Beautylish recommends UOMA Beauty Say What? Weightless Soft Matte Hydrating Foundation or TOM FORD Beauty Traceless Soft Matte Foundation
You can also mattify and blur an existing dewy complexion product or touch up any oily areas with a translucent setting powder.
Beautylish recommends UNITS Unit 502 Loose Setting Powder or Viseart Seamless Setting Powder
Rosy flush
Blush is undoubtedly the most integral part of this look, but shade and placement can make all the difference. Opt for a pink-red shade that adds a rose-colored tint based on your natural skin tone.
Once you find the right shade, placement is key. Apply it in a W shape, going higher on the apples of the cheeks—right below the under eyes—and more importantly, along the bridge of the nose. For a natural look, we recommend a multi-use pigment you can also dab on your lips for a monochrome tint.
Beautylish recommends Jouer Blush Bloom Cheek Lip Duo in Uplift or ILIA Color Haze Multi-Matte Pigment in Sing
Frosty glow
Top off the look by adding a hint of highlight to the inner corners and the bridge of your eyes for a frosty glow. We recommend a clear formula for a natural-looking sheen.
Beautylish recommends RMS Beauty Living Luminizer or Danessa Myricks Beauty Dew Wet Balm Clear
