Olivia Chantecaille’s Top Beauty Picks for Holidays 2022

Not sure what to gift the beauty lovers in your life this year? We chatted with Chantecaille Co-Founder and Creative Director, Olivia Chantecaille, about her favorite holiday memories, what she’s looking forward to in the coming months, and of course, her tried-and-true favorites to spoil herself and her loved ones this holiday season.
Can you share some special holiday memories with us?
Growing up, we spent every Christmas in Bordeaux at my father’s family vineyard with our cousins.
I love to bring the outdoors into our home around the holidays. My daughter Delphina and I have fun studding clementines with cloves to make pomanders, making floral designs or patterns. We gather leaves, flowers, and herbs from our yard and push them into sugar cookies in lieu of using cookie cutters to make a pattern or a print. We also set the table with wild cuttings from the garden, such as holly branches, berries, pine boughs, and magnolia leaves and blooms.
How are you spending the holidays this year?
This year, I am looking forward to mixing old traditions and new in our new home where we’ll host my parents and siblings to celebrate Christmas in our own special way.
What’s the most special gift you’ve ever received?
My daughter Delphina was born in December, and she is by far the best Christmas present I have ever—or will ever—receive! Seeing the holidays through her eyes is so special, heartwarming, and magical.
What are you using and gifting this year?
Chantecaille Pink Opal Lip Cristal
This is an elevated, fresh way to shimmer—it’s pure fun for the holiday season, and for each Lip Cristal sold this December, we plant a tree in Kenya.
Chantecaille Lotus Radiance Highlighter
This collection celebrates the sacred lotus, a bloom symbolic to women’s vitality, which is reflected with glowing radiance. I designed this limited-edition highlighter to bring joy, illumination, and vibrance to everyone who wears it. The unique formula is weightless and not powdery and is developed to mimic skin, so it looks like the most natural glow.
Chantecaille Bio Lifting Mask+
This mask is life-changing and has become a cult classic. It addresses all my skin’s needs, and it can be a sleep-in mask, too. I can use it as a cream in the morning and sleep in it at night. After 15 minutes, I look fresher and more radiant. When I sleep in it, my skin is more lifted, smoother, firmer, and denser and it feels hydrated and healthy. Some days, I use it as eye cream or on my hands. It has endless uses.
Chantecaille Sheer Glow Rose Face Tint
This revolutionary multi-tasking skincare/makeup hybrid is my holy grail for glowing skin. This cooling gel-cream has the anti-aging properties of serious skincare and the smoothing, perfecting, and radiance-creating results of makeup. I apply it in the morning for instant, pearlescent glowing skin that’s supported by botanicals and peptides and doesn’t need as much foundation to follow.
Christophe Robin Regenerating Mask with Rare Prickly Pear Oil
I love this mask because I can apply it in the shower, which saves precious time, and it instantly repairs and smooths my hair with delicious and healing ingredients, like prickly pear and inula. Plus, it’s vegan and cruelty-free.
Herbivore Calm Soaking Salts
In the winter, a deep soak in a warm bath with calming salts heals a list of woes. The magic of pink Himalayan salt detoxes my body and infuses my skin with minerals like magnesium and zinc which help my muscles to relax and draw out tension and tightness. I come out feeling lighter and relaxed.
The Beauty Chef HYDRATION Inner Beauty Boost
I am a big believer in beauty from the inside out. There is a direct link between your gut and your skin. My skin feels very dry in the winter and this hydration elixir replenishes my body and my skin with electrolytes, minerals, cucumber, and coconut water.
Tria Beauty SmoothBeauty Laser
I am afraid of any intense face treatments, but I see with time that my skin could use a little boost, and this little tool is my solution. I can do it at home when I have a few minutes or even on a Zoom meeting with the camera off!
