Steal Karlie Kloss's Look From Anna Sui's Spring 2014 Catwalk
Published Sep 21, 2013
It should come as no surprise that we are in love with everything Anna Sui, including the Spring 2014 collection she showed at New York Fashion Week. Style.com described it as “Pre-Raphaelite inspiration and a Victoriana–meets–Venice Beach Boardwalk vibe,” an apt take on the designs, which were floaty, fringe-y, and romantic. The bold prints and colors that models wore down the runway were juxtaposed with glowing faces in warm peach and sunset tones (and the occasional pop of blue eye shadow). We especially liked the dewy look on model of the moment Karlie Kloss, and rounded up some of our favorite products for achieving a similar, ethereal effect at home.
And if you're wondering about those pretty, past-the-shoulder waves? Definitely extensions, hiding the famous Kloss Chop for the show!
Face: Kloss's skin really glowed on the runway, in the most natural-looking way. To get the look, apply Anna Sui Rose Cheek Color in Dreamy Rose to the cheeks and temples, blending out to create a rosy contour. Next, highlight the cheekbones with Anna Sui Makeup Powder in 600 for a pearly touch.
Eyes: Generously wash the eyelids with Anna Sui Rose Cheek Color in Dreamy Rose and use all the way up to the brows. Next, blend Anna Sui Makeup Powder in 600 into the brow bones. To make the eyes pop even more, add a swipe of Anna Sui Perfect Mascara; the formula curls and sets lashes to perfection. For more drama, add multiple coats of mascara.
Lips: Anna Sui Lipstick in 601 adds just the right amount of punch, while still feeling neutral enough to let the eyes stand out.
Nails: To complete the look, we like Anna Sui Nail Color in N324. The barely-there shade makes hands look clean and polished, while leaving behind a dash of Anna's signature rose scent.
What did you think of Karlie's look here? Do you prefer the cropped cut, or the long spiral waves?
