5 Beauty Tips We Learned From Kids
Published Jul 31, 2011
Take it from the youngsters, they know everything. Too busy and with the hustle and bustle of life, us grown-ups can learn a thing or two from looking at how kids behave (and their glowing eyes and skin!). Here are five simple things to help you get back to those carefree days.
5 Beauty Tips We Learned From Kids
-
Catch those z's. Put aside time to get eight (or at least six) hours of sleep every night. Being well-rested reflects in your mood, skin, and weight!
-
Indulge your curiosity. Don't play it safe every day with boring nude gloss—bring back those days when you would grab that red lipstick from your mother's vanity and put it on your pout. Designate at least one day a week for fun lipstick.
-
Take your vitamins. Those sugary Flinstones won't do the trick these days, but finding a multivitamin that's specially formulated for women is a good start.
-
Play in the sun. We spend far too much time indoors and on our computers these days—get out in the sun and soak up some natural vitamin D this summer! Being out in the sun boosts your mood and gives you more energy for the day, so get out there and have fun (just remember your SPF).
-
Be impulsive. The next time you see a nail polish color that you think you wouldn't be able to wear, just go for it! When we were younger, if we liked something we just tried it out without weighing in the pros and cons.
