NEW YORK FASHION WEEK S/S 2012

Mara Hoffman's spring 2012 collection, appropriate titled “Mara Mexicana,” featured vibrant prints and Mexican motifs. Inspired by painter Frida Kahlo, Mara celebrated color with cheerful hues of orange, violet, and blue, and even integrated the designs into her accessories and wigs.

Makeup

Make Up For Ever Alliance artist Lottie was the key makeup artist at Mara Hoffman's show. She wanted the models to look like “strong powerful women,” so the look focused on strong brows, contoured, glowing skin, and mesmerizing neutral eyes.

Lottie first applied Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation to give the models a flawless canvas, and then sculpted the cheeks using Make Up For Ever Eye Shadows in #76 and #98. She illuminated the complexion using Make Up For Ever Uplight along with Make Up For Ever Star Powder #902 and #974.

She first shaded the eyes with Make Up For Ever Eye Shadow #76, and topped the lids with Make Up For Ever Star Powder in #930 and #974. Next, she lined the eyes first with Make Up For Ever Khol Pencil #1K in black, and then added Make Up For Ever Flash Color #11 for a slightly worn, messy look. She finished the eyes with a thick coat of Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash Mascara.

Lottie used Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense in #39 and added Make Up For Ever Glossy Full in #10 on top for a peachy-pink shine.
