MAKEUP EMMA STONE AT THE 2011 MET BALL
“Emma's Met Ball make up was inspired by the graphic black and white floral print of her dress. The lack of color prompted me to bring elements of a colorful spring garden into the makeup look opting for bold, feminine color on her lips, eyes and cheeks for a fresh youthful statement.”
On her skin, I used CHANEL Vitalumière Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup SPF 15 in Beige Rosé-Pastel. This lightweight, luminous formula allowed me to perfectly even out her skin while still letting her gorgeous freckles to show. I'm obsessed with her freckles!
On her eyes, I used a wash of pale pink shimmer from CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Lilium on the entire lid; then I boosted her lash line with two coats of CHANEL Inimitable Intense Mascara in Noir after placing Ardel individual lashes to the end of her eyes only. I finished by lining her inner eyelid with CHANEL Intense Eye Pencil in Clair for a subtle contrast. I finished the lips with NARS Pure Matte Lipstick in Carthage, a shocking matte pink.”
