Beautylish's Editor Picks
Published Jan 3, 2012
Each month we receive (and test) hundreds of beauty products. Some of them make it into Beautylish’s stories, but others are special enough to find a permanent home in one of our personal, crowded makeup cabinets. Here are our favorite new products from the past month.

Miss Dior Cherie Eau de Parfum
“I usually wear really light, girlie scents, but I wanted something more elegant and a little heavier for winter. This scent isn’t overwhelming, but it’s still distinct. I also love the packaging. It looks great sitting on my vanity.”

Instyler TopStyler
“It took me a few tries to master this tool—I've used a curling iron all my life!—but now I use it daily. I'm always looking for ways to shorten my morning beauty routine and the five minutes it takes shaves off plenty of time. Plus, while my locks are cooling, my hands are free to do my makeup and get dressed! It's also less damaging to my strands than a curling iron.”

Victoria's Secret Deep-Softening Body Butter in Pure Seduction
“I bought this on Black Friday and love it. I usually hate moisturizing—I don't like the sticky feel, but this body butter absorbs so quickly. In fact, the 'butter' name is a misnomer—this feels like a fluffy pudding and isn't oily. When I put it on before bed, my skin is silky—not greasy—by the time I hit the sheets. The red plum and freesia notes are girlie without smelling like dessert. Thank goodness, because I don't like to go to bed hungry!”

Duri Nail Polish in Night Before Christmas
"Red is never my first choice when picking a nail color, but I decided to try Duri's Night Before Christmas to get in the festive mood. It's a deep, sultry burgundy, but the glitter adds some magic and fun! It also makes me feel a little more daring!"
Tara L.
Guerlain Noir G Mascara
“While this mascara is definitely on the pricier end, I’m a sucker for pretty packaging, and the futuristic bullet and flip-up mirror caught my eye. The formula is thick and creamy so your lashes don’t dry with that crusty feeling, and I love that it’s refillable.

Benefit Cosmetics The Porefessional
“Within the past couple of months I’ve become more aware of my pores and how apparent they are now that I'm getting older. I started using Benefit's Porefessional and it's amazing. It fills in those pores, making my skin look smoother and more youthful!”

Zoya Nail Polish in Jules
“I don't typically wear shimmery nail colors, but this champagne lacquer makes it easy. The brush ensures flawless application—all I need is two thin coats for smooth, long-lasting coverage. But the thing I love most is its versatility. Jules will give any little black dress some extra sparkle, but the neutral undertones are muted enough for the work week. Guess which polish I wore to celebrate the New Year?”
