"Hugo" Premiere, 2011
Chloë Moretz is fast becoming a new young star to watch. She looked super feminine and girlie at the premiere of Hugo in New York City, wearing a blush-toned strapless Dolce & Gabbana dress with a bow on the front! Celebrity makeup artist Beau Nelson was inspired by her stunning gown and kept her makeup simple and pretty with a focus on beautiful skin and rosy blush.
Makeup
Beau began by prepping Chloë’s skin with La Mer Oil Free Moisturizer and Eye Cream, and then applied Nars Pro Prime to help her makeup look fresher for longer. He then applied Shu Uemura Nobara Stick Foundation where needed with the Urban Decay Cruelty Free Blush Brush, then used Tom Ford Illuminating Pen in Lavender Voile on her cheekbones, brow bones, and cupids bow to give her skin a pretty youthful glow. He set the foundation with Laura Mercier Translucent Powder on the t-zone and around the nose and mouth, leaving the outer edges and highlights of the face free of powder. For blush, Beau applied Burberry Blush in Cameo on the apples of the cheek, blending slightly downwards and back towards the hairline. He then used Burberry Blush in Rose as a pop of color to the apple of her cheek and blended the two together with a clean brush.
For her eyes, Beau used Chanel Quadra Shadows in Dunes over the top of Chanel Ombre D'eau Fluid Iridescent Eyeshadow in Source. He applied Source all over the lid and around the eye, creating an iridescent base, then used the varying browns in the Dunes quad on a soft brush to create a sophisticated nude smoky eye. To finish, Beau curled Chloë's lashes using a Chanel Eyelash Curler and applied his favorite Cover Girl LashBlast Mascara. Finally, on Chloë's lips Beau used Beauté Cosmetics Trace Lip Crème, gently patting it on with his finger to push it to the edges of the lip. This created a pinky beige lip that completed the romantic nude look.
