Beauties, we know many of you are dying to re-create the double-winged effect—so we’ll show you how! Although this unique flick may look complicated, we’ve simplified the technique into seven easy steps. Keep reading to see how Beautylish’s Jasmine pulls off the popular liner trend.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  1. Eye shadow primer

  2. Eye shadows in: light pink, yellow, purple, bright pink, black, white

  3. White cream color crayon

  4. Black liquid liner

  5. Mascara

  6. False Lashes

Step 1

START WITH A PINK BASE

After applying an eye shadow primer, take a fluffy blending brush and sweep a light pink shadow over your crease (we opted for Inglot Eye Shadow 362).

Step 2

APPLY A YELLOW HIGHLIGHT

Dust a bright yellow eye shadow along your lid and below your crease with a flat shader brush (we chose Sugarpill Cosmetics Pressed Shadow in Buttercupake). Be sure to blend the yellow pigment into the pink base along the crease.

Step 3

CREATE A COLORFUL SMOKY GRADIENT

Push a deep purple shadow (we used Sugarpill Pressed Shadow in Poison Plum) into your outer corner using a thin angled brush, then finely sweep the color up toward your brow bone. Softly fade one edge of the purple line into the pink base using a fuchsia shadow (we opted for Sugarpill Pressed Shadow in Dollipop). For extra dimension, smudge a matte black shadow in the outer corner to deepen up the purple shade (we chose Inglot Eye shadow in 391).

Step 4

ADD A WING

Pull out your white cream crayon (we chose Ben Nye MagiColor Cream Crayon in White) and an angled brush. Load the white pigment on your brush, then draw a thin line starting from the outer corner of your eye towards the end of your brow. Set the white line with a matching pale shadow (we opted for Inglot Eye Shadow in 373).

Step 5

ADD COLOR TO YOUR LOWER LASHES

Apply the same purple shadow as before under the white line and add a small intensified accent of black shadow to your outer corner with a flat angled brush.

Step 6

DRAW A CAT EYE

Using a brush-tip black liquid liner (we chose Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Liner in Perversion), create a thick and dramatic cat eye for your false lashes to blend into. Make sure to follow along the white line—this is crucial for a seamless double-wing.

Step 7

VOLUMIZE YOUR LASHES

Apply a pair of wispy false lashes onto your lids (we used Red Cherry #47 lashes) and you’re ready to party on with this edgy double-lined eye!
