Not Bad
Out of all of the palettes that came out when Kat Von D first launched her makeup line, this one remains to be my favorite still. The blues and greys are absolutely gorgeous. Not to mention it includes a matte black shadow, which is a must! I probably use that the most out of this whole thing! Either way, I really wish she would stop putting those gross cream eyeshadows in her palettes. I've never even HEARD of anyone being able to even use them. So that's a loss, which sucks, because in this one it's silver, and it just looks so damn pretty. I do have TONS of fallout with these shadows though. The little brushes she includes with it, honestly only makes that worse. They are pretty useless.
BUY THIS!
So, I finally figured out why this is called the UD 'Deluxe' Shadow Box. (Other than being generally amazing) The shadows in it are all part of their 'Deluxe' Shadow line! (Derp on my part.) Not to mention, this is one of my favorite palettes of all time. I've been lusting after it forever, and it was everything I wanted and more. The colors are just absolutely gorgeous. Vibrant, fun, and versatile. There are also three gorgeous neutrals. And I'm not usually a neutral eye kind of person, but these ones really have a wow factor to them. Graffiti (the green) is unlike any other green I own or have ever seen or tried. And between Fishnet (pink) and Ransom (purple), they're easily some of the most unique shades I have seen and used. This one is almost something I reach for on the daily basis. Everyone should have this palette! And As long as I have this pallete, and UD Primer potion, I don't need anything else!
First of all, I have to say that the greenish/seafoam color in this palette is SOO unique and gorgeous! This palette is a fantastic value. I forget what I paid for it, but it definitely was NOT over $4.99. You get six eyeshadows, and three of them are matte, and three of them are shimmery. You get a matte and a shimmer of that seafoam green color, white, and a deep blue. And the matte shadows are not at all chalky or hard. Color pay off is also great. Especially good when used with a primer!
Truth be told, I was expected a litttleee more from these shadows. For starters, every shadow has the same finish. Shimmery and frosty. And that's absolutely fine, but with 9 shades, some variety always helps. As for pigmentation, not so wonderful. But again, great if you're looking for a more sheer, frosty finish for something. It's definitely possible to make them work, but it's gonna take a little bit of effort on your end. I'm sure they would look better over some sort of sticky base, as compared to eyeshadow primer alone which is what I used with them. I returned mine. And I probably won't bother to try another one.
No Thanks
I was super excited to see these, since I normally love Physician's Formula products, but this one, was a complete miss for me. They have tons of colors to choose from, however, the pigmentation in them is seriously lacking! They hardly show up at all! Don't even bother trying to use it on your waterline. If you get anything to show up, it'll probably be gone in 10 minutes. Not to mention, I used mine once. And the next time I went to pick it up, the eyeliner had broken off the handle. All the way at the bottom. So I had to toss it. These aren't for getting thin, precise lines, as there is no way to sharpen or advance the liner at all. What you see sticking out of the handle is ALL you get. The rest is just plastic. Seriously. Pass on these.
Perfection
I use this product every single day, without fail. Instead of a felt-tip like most pen-style liners, it has a thin, brush tip. It is sooo easy to apply, hardly and pressure is needed to get a nice, opaque line of thick or thin liner depending on your preference. It never flakes off, and dries as a nice, shiny, finish on the eye. It's so easy to use. Best of all, it's a drugstore brand, so it's generally inexpensive compared to higher end brands! I can't really attest to the lash growth promise, my lashes are naturally very full and long, so I don't buy into it for that. I actually prefer it compared to the MAC Penultimate!
Best Silver Eyeshadow ever.
There's no swatch for this duo on here, but I have a metallic one in 'Platinum.' Its got an intense silver shade, and a glittery black shade. Can I just say, that this is seriously THE best silver eyeshadow I have EVER used!?! It's my go-to duo when I'm having a creative block on my eye makeup. The silver and glittering black colors just work perfectly together. I have repurchased this over and over again. As for some other shades I've tried out, I haven't been as impressed. But the epic-ness of that silver totally makes up for it.
I've hardly put a dent in it!
I picked up this blush, pretty much because Milani was on sale, and I needed a blush since mine had just run out and I wanted to try something different. I've had it for months now, and I've seriously hardly made a dent it in. I use it pretty much everyday with a fluffy angled blush brush, and I love it! It's matte, which I'm really a fan of, I'm pale, so sometimes shimmer overwhelms me. It feels so light, I usually forget that I even put it on! Compared to my other daily products, this one looks like I've hardly used it! Definitely not a bad thing since I like it so much!
Adorable!
I got 6 of these eyeshadows in a set from Sephora recently, for about $36 I think? I don't really remember, but it was a great value! The shades I got were; Soya, Samba, Diamante, Killer Candy, Choco, and Bruttino. The color pay off is okay. It's not like WOW super vibrant, but with a base, it is definitely true to the color in the pan! I was lusting after the brighter shades, but I've found that Diamante is a great highlight shade for me, I use it almost daily now! I'm almost positive these are all pearl-finish shadows. Diamante is more of a glittery shadow, with bigger glitter flakes. I enjoy matte, but for a deal like this, I can't even complain! What am I really a sucker for? The freakin adorable packaging of course! These little heart and skull cross bones compacts are so cute, It just makes me squeal to even look at them! I would definitely repurchase more Cromatico shadows from Tokidoki!
Give and Take
I was so excited to purchase some of OCC's loose pigments, and finally narrowed my decision down to 'Cherry Bomb' (bright fuscia) and 'Chlorophyll' (Teal-ish color, in crease in the picture) I absolutely love cherry bomb, it's everything I expected and more. As for chlorophyll, I was really hoping it'd be a lot more pigmented than it was. It comes off kind of sheer, and when you try to build on it, it just blends itself out. I have NOT tried using them wet yet, but I don't think I'd see much of a change in cherry bomb, and the consequences of trying chlorophyll wet may be disastrous! Overall, good quality pigments though! I would buy other colors from them.
