I decided to purchase my first Illamasqua lipstick. I have loads of red lipsticks but ended up playing it safe and ordering another one. I'm honestly really impressed. Their lipsticks are a good mix between matte and gloss. I find I have problems with matte being too dry and glossy type lipsticks being overly creamy so that they end up over your teeth and half way up your face. This lipstick is a great in between.
Pout Paints have a large selection of colours to choose from and have been compared to OCC Lip Tars (I don't own a Lip Tar so I can't comment). The range also comes with a blue (Peek-A-Bloo) and white (Cloud 9) which, if desired can be worn/used on their own but can also be used to mix with other colours in the range to make a brand new colour. Pout Paints are extremely pigmented and as they are a stain, last! You also only need the smallest amount so they last for ages, I have had these months and have used hardly any. These are perfect for a more dramatic look to a neutral eye or if you're like me love creating dramatic looks. 10/10
The concealer has two parts; a salmon/peach colour for under the eyes and a complexion colour. It is a creamy consistency and is pretty much full coverage. Personally, I love the salmon under eye concealer. It's thick enough to camouflage dark circles and discoloration a ease with out that cakey feeling. I like the complexion concealer, just not as much. It does conceal but I find the staying power on my skin isn't as great as others. Saying that, I do have a terrible habit of touching my face so that could be the reason. Lastly, this product comes with a light weight, translucent finishing powder. You apply this after the concealer to stop any creasing and to give it a longer lasting finish. When I've applied this after concealing under my eyes (which is what I mostly use it for) it has stayed in place without creasing all day.
I love Barry M as there colour range is amazing, their lip paints are no different. I have a few in various colours and love them. They stay in place and and beautiful and bold. The only problem with these lip paints are when the colour does wear off it's better to remove all colour and start again. They are also very drying on the lips.
A little beauty. I have noticeable pores on my T-Zone and a lot of normal primers don't seem to make much difference. I was a bit apprehensive about this when I first purchased as it seemed a little oily but on the skin it feels soft and sits in place nicely. You could use this product on it's own to blur and camouflage large pores or with Foundation. I personally prefer to team it with Foundation as I have slight Acne at the moment so I like to keep that covered. The only bad point is I wish it had a little more staying power, other than that it's one of the best I have used.
