Great universal bronzer, without the sparkle
I've tried all types of different bronzers by a variety of brands. They have either made me too bronzed, giving me that Jersey Short effect or left my face a glittery, shimmery mess. I don't mind my highlighter leaving a little shimmer, but I prefer my bronzer to "bronze" and not leave me shiny.
Hoolah does just that. It's a matte bronzer that wont leave your face shiny. The color is perfect for my medium skin tone complexion. I love this bronzer and use it everyday. Gives me just enough color for those drabby winter days without making me look like I fell asleep out on the sun or in a tanning bed.
My only compliant was the little applicator brush the product comes with. I tossed it out right away and replaced it with a Kabuki brush.
Cute packaging. Great coverage even after one coat.
Blueberry is my favorite color-a solid, creamy, pastel, periwinkle blue. Formulated without the the Big 3 harmful ingredients: toluene, formaldehyde or Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP). $10 each.
The Liquid Nail Art includes five pastel colors: yellow, blue, pink, sheer pink and green It also comes in clear and there are two with a sheer hint of color (in either pink and purple) that are loaded with glitter.

Bye bye dead skin cells!
I admit it. I am an exfoliant junkie. Give me a product that makes me feel like I'm scrubbing my face off, well at least the dead skin cells anyways, and I will be a happy woman. Now that my knowledge about proper skincare is expanding, so is my own personal at-home skincare regime. I have since traded in my Apricot Scrub for Dermalogica's Daily Microfoliant.
Daily Microfoliant is a product that all different skin types and conditions can use on a regular (even on a daily) basis. Daily Microfoliant is a physical exfoliant. It's made up of a rice-based enzyme powder that when added to water, eats away the dead skin cells on the face. Even just after one use, you'll notice that your face is smoother and brighter. Trust me, you don't want dead skin cells hanging out on your face. A build-up of dead skin cells can eventually cause breakouts and congestion. Who wants that on their face?
It's easy to use. As soon as you finish washing your face, pour only a half-teaspoon of Daily Micro into your wet palms. Add a splash of water and rub the product into the palms of your hand until you see it start to lather. Add the lather to your face. Let the Daily Micro sit on your face for 2 to 3 minutes while the enzymes go to work. Then rinse.
A little bit goes a long way with Daily Micro so make sure that you only use a half-teaspoon of product for each use. Any more than that and you're just wasting product.
Awesome! Beauty tool staple. I can't live without it.
I remember the first time I ever saw an eyelash curler. I was 7 years old. I was sitting in my aunt's bathroom, on the counter as she put makeup on me. Most of the makeup application was pretty painless up until I laid eyes on her eyelash curler. I had no idea what it was. When I realized that she was going to put the thing right up to my eyeballs and use it to curl my eyelashes, I started to rethink my excitement over my first makeup application.
Fast forward years later, I no longer fear the iconic eyelash curler. I embrace it. In fact, I can't imagine my daily routine without it. I have used several types of eyelash curlers over the years. The Shu Uemura eyelash curler has been, by far, my favorite eyelash curler that I've ever used. It helps to create a perfect curl with each use because of its mushroom-shaped silicone pad. The silicone pad creates a stay-put edge for the lashes to lay on. There's no pinching or funky crimping of the lashes. Just perfectly curled lashes each time.
To use the Shu Uemura eyelash curler:
1. Open curler by spreading the handles. 2. Center the upper lashes between the top and bottom (silicone pad) section of the curler. 3. Position the curler at the base of the lash line. 4. Gently squeeze handles and hold at a 45 degree angle for 10-15 seconds.
**To avoid any breakage, use the eyelash curler before applying mascara.
Shu Uemura recommends:
- Clean the eyelash curler after each use. - Replace the silicone pad after three months (a replacement pad is included) - The eyelash curler should be replaced every six months
Shu Uemura products are no longer available for sale here in the United States. There aren't anymore Shu Uemura freestanding boutiques. You can't even purchase Shu Uemura products in a Sephora store. It appears that you can still purchase the Shu Uemura eyelash curler on Sephora.com so get them while you can before they're all gone.
