Worth the hype!!
There are few products that truly live up to their hype and this is one of them. I've been using UDPP for years and love the staying power of this product. A little goes a long way so only a tiny amount is needed for both lids and you'll find your shadows staying on (without creasing or merging together) for over 12 hours!! The best part is, UD finally listened to our complaints and changed the packaging to a tube instead of the genie bottle -- which is cute but very hard to get most of the product out of. My second favorite primer is MACs painterly paint pot, which only holds my shadows for about 7-8 hours and isn't as effective as my crease colors tend to merge with my lid color at the end of the way. Overall, I'd highly recommend this and I'm looking forward to trying Eden which has more coverage for the lids.
Better than Naked Lunch!
This is probably my all time favorite MAC color. For a while I was using Naked Lunch and was really disappointed in the color payoff. I had to pack on a ton of product to get the results I wanted so I went to the MAC counter and swatched everything in sight. I found Jest and fell in love. Its really similar in color to Naked Lunch but it's so much better. Unlike Naked Lunch, the pigmentation is incredible and its creamy and soft (whereas Naked Lunch feels dry and hard to work with). I don't see a lot of people talking about this color on YouTube but it definitely deserves a shoutout! Its my go-to lid and highligher color!!
Beautiful Colors!
I was very lucky to get my hands on this during the first launch (and before the months of backorders) and am happy I got it - but its not my favorite. For me, the best part of this palette is the double ended eyeliner. The new brown color, Whiskey, is a great dupe for Stilas Eye Kajal in Tigers Eye. Its really dark, creamy and stays on all day without budging. As of right now its only for sale as part of a duo but I really hope this becomes available for individual puchase because its perfect. Its a great alternative to UDs other brown liner, Bourbon, since its completely matte whereas Bourbon has shimmer flects.
Aside from the liner the shadows have incredible quality. Their smooth, blend well and are extremely pigmented. My favorite daytime combo is Virgin, Naked and Buck. Sidecar and Sin are beauitful as well. Also, the packaging is sleek and beautiful which is a nice change for Urban Decay.
However, the reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because the fall out is sometimes too much for me to handle. If I'm in a rush in the morning I really can't bother with this palette because of the mess it leaves under my eyes.
I prefer my Too Faced Natural Eye palette over this since the colors aren't as dusty. But, I'd say this is a must have for anyone just starting out in makeup or for my fellow netural eye lovers, just beware of the fallout.
HG Blushes!!
MAC is my favorite brand when it comes to blushes! They blend extremely well, are highly pigmented and have a wonderful color range. My weakness is nudey pink colors like Tenderling and Cubic but some other favorites include Blushbaby, Pink Cult (limited edition), Margin and Well Dressed. As far as finishes go frosts are probably my favorite because they give you a beautiful sheen without having to use a separate highlighter.
