Beauty Product Reviews
Not our mother's Ambi!
I was terrified of Ambi for years because my older sister used it back in the 70's and she ended up having some skin discoloration from it. But last year I used it to clear up some dark spots I had noticed on my forehead, after reading rave reviews. It seems their formula has changed over the years. The spots cleared up after about 5 or 6 weeks. I had no side effects or discoloration. A word of caution - just apply a little bit, otherwise it will take forever to absorb it into your skin.
Cute and convenient
I am pretty particular about my lip balm...I had just started using Korres Lib Butter, which I still love, but for a go-to balm, the eos sphere stays in my purse, at my desk, everywhere! I don't like fruity scents, so I was glad to see that it came in lemon (yellow sphere) and sweet mint (green sphere). Even the mint is not a very strong scent, and both do the job well of keeping my lips soft and smooth without feeling that the product is caked on my lips. The best thing is that I don't have to keep re-applying. Definitely worth the price - I think I bought it at Rite-Aid for about 3.29. This is definitely staying on my future shopping lists.
It's OK
As a lover of L'Oreal Voluminous, I can't say that I'll be moving over to this Revlon product, but it was pretty good. At first I didn't like the giant wand, but thought it would be good for putting on over false lashes. The first week I used it, I found it to give my lashes length, but not much definition and ended up adding L'Oreal voluminous as a second coat. But after 3 weeks of use, I like it better than at first. It is not clumpy and gives a little more length than L'Oreal. It will probably be one of my back-up mascaras.
