Beauty Product Reviews
Light coverage but good for late mornings.
I compare this and it's coverage to a tinted moisturizer. I have some hyperpigmentation and w/ a little concealer and this applied over, it covered pretty well. I am aware that a lot of people say the coverage is lacking but I think it just depends on your skin's current condition, undertones, and which shade you are using from this line. Also, this works better with a "pressing" technique & not swirling as you may do w/ a liquid foundation and stippling brush. I use the "Press & Roll" method with E.L.F's Powder Brush and I get an even, natural finish. I think for the price you should try it and if one technique or color doesn't work try another. It's not always the product but the steps we do to apply it, that gives us a result we may not like. I hope this helps some of you! xo
Overall - Light to Medium Coverage, Semi-buildable, Natural looking, and lasts decently with or without a primer/base. Not a lot of product is my one gripe!
Pigmented, easy to blend, but too soft?
I absolutely LOVE WnW & think they are one of the best drugstore brands out there. They keep improving their products and it's a real pleasure to get MU for under $5 nowadays. I own Comfort Zone, Petal Pusher, & Blue Had Me At Hello. My favorite is BHMAH and my least is Petal Pusher. With all of them you get 8 highly pigmented, shimmer colors. They blend easy and look great when applied wet. I only have 2 gripes with WnW; their shadows and blushes are TOO SOFT & they need more matte colors,( that aren't chalky.) From what I've heard they have listened to the beauty community and we should be seeing more matte! I definitely rec. these to anyone whether you're a beginner or an experienced MUA. Plus, for the price you have to at least try them!
Disappointment is an understatement
Where to begin. Reading the packaging "3D Extreme Mascara" you're thinking BIG, FULL, LONG lashes or at least one of those. Sad to say, you get none of these benefits with this mascara. I dont know if its the formula or the wand but the biggest fail for me was the wand. It is EXTREMELY SMALL. By small, you can't even tell that there are bristles. I have a photo attached that isnt the clearest but you can tell the drastic difference between wand size. The BOTTOM is The Revlon & The TOP is Maybelline's Turbo Volume Express, which I don't even use but for purposes of comparing wands, I used it for the photos. The Maybelline is an average size not too big not too small. Im not a fan of small wands but if it works, great! This did not! My lashes looked so-so and I had to reapply SO many times to get it to be just that. All in all a complete FAIL. I wouldnt even give this 1 star.
I do not like E.L.F blushes. I get barely any color payoff all just glittery/shimmer. The colors look beautiful in pan but once applied dont really standout against skin and kinda just blend in with whatever you already have on your face. I do like the Candid Coral but thats it .
Mascaras are something that are definitely personal preference. What works well for some doesn't for others. What I love : The wand. & that's about it. The product itself was very watery and had a HORRID SMELL. Not only that but it burned my eyes. I didn't feel it lengthened or volumized much. I left it alone for about a month and now the product has dried up a little and it works a lot better. But to have to wait a month for a product to do what I want seems like a #FAIL
