hey, i was reading one of your review and you mentioned you do stage make up. i was i big techie in theatre in high school and i don't know how to get into that make up industry. do you have any tips?

Sorry for such a late reply! Honestly my theatrical make up experience only extends to community theatre, including high school productions. I was just lucky enough when I was in high school to have a director who had actually had Broad Way experience and was able to teach us. Basically, when you're doing stage make up, you want to keep longevity and pigmentation in mind. Thats why Ben Nye and Kryolan are most often that make up artists will use in shows :D As for getting into the industry, it's all about building experience, creating a portfolio, and actually going out and putting yourself out there. If you want to get into Broad Way make up, start small, like you are now, and work your way up. Maybe even study drag make up and offer to do make up for shows. :D Also, getting a license is a good idea. I know some places it's not mandatory to have a license to do make up, but either way it still looks good. But it's really about getting your name out there, and communities like beautylish and youtube are good ways to do that. You can also find out when productions are going on and send in a portfolio and ask if you can apply for the job. :) I hoped that helped and good luck!
