If you had longer nails than mine it would look even more pretty to do a matching french tip swipe across your nail at the top :)

I cannot take credit for the initial idea using the ziplock bag as a way to create my decal. I was inspired by a video I watched recently by cutepolish where she demonstrated this same way to make your own nail decal with just polish http://youtu.be/CWTV9tNetC0 .
Once I saw that video light bulbs went off in my head and I was like "this is perfect!". You guys have no idea how many different ways I tried to do this but failed. I was so happy when I found it actually worked well. The whole reason I bought those weird brown shades and all those tan polishes is because I wanted to do a classic Louis Vuitton monogram nail tutorial. I thought the white multicolor was better for spring and showing you how to do it.
You can do this with ANYTHING! That's what's cool if you can't do free hand art on your nails this technique is perfect if you want something more elaborate.
Please try out a few top coats before you find the right one if you're using the bag technique. I ended up with a Revlon topcoat I hurriedly bought at a grocery store, but it ended up giving me a perfect texture to the decal because it wasn't stiff and therefore when I put it on my nail, it wouldn't need a lot of top coats over it to make it smooth. It was however more delicate and harder to pull off the bag but came off well if I used a craft exacto knife.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
