NO BUY YEAR RULES 2020 — makeup, eating out, alcohol (explained)

These are my no buy rules for 2020. What I'm not buying, what I'm allowing and restricting. I had to redo this video after undergoing a lifestyle change. Further down the line, I am considering doing budget videos when my job hunt is concluded, until then, here's an update schedule.
Show More These are my no buy rules for 2020. What I'm not buying, what I'm allowing and restricting. I had to redo this video after undergoing a lifestyle change. Further down the line, I am considering doing budget videos when my job hunt is concluded, until then, here's an update schedule.

No Buy Check-in projection dates:
Q1 ➔ April 2nd, 2020
Q2 ➔ July 2nd, 2020
Q3 ➔ October 1st, 2020
Q4 ➔ January 2nd, 2021 (Finale)

Why am I doing this? The environment is a huge reason to consider a no-buy. However, I drafted my no buy rules for 2020 according to the areas I would like to improve in my life. My main reasons are:
- financial benefit and changing my spending behaviours
- self-development and reflection
- physical and mental health

I feel it's pretty obvious that I'll still be paying for expenses such as groceries, cat litter, cat food, public transportation and bills. The bills do not include subscriptions to anything other than my web hosting service and blog stuff.

NO UBER other than the bachlorette night in April. The only other exception would be if I'm out late at night alone for whatever reason (unlikely) I obviously need to get home safe.

NO/LOW BUY RULES:

4. fitness
5. eating and drinking
6. entertainment
7. technology
8. travel
