Make-up empowers you, it brings out your best features and makes you feel on top of the world. Everyone has their passion in life, for my dad it is the beautiful landscape outside, the trees and the wildlife; for my friend it is for art - to look at something deeper and to be able to see more than just some streaks of paint, to see emotions, expressions and life. For me, it’s make-up, which to me personally is a form of art, a way of bringing out your inner radiance by making you feel confident and powerful.
Even for those who swear by the ultimate basics, have you ever put on a red lipstick and felt glamorous, empowered and confident? Or found that perfect blusher that makes you look wide awake and healthy?
Now don’t get me wrong, I always feel better when i’ve done my make-up properly, I live and strive to experiment with colours and combinations of different products; but this doesn’t mean I don’t see my natural beauty.
Confidence in this day and age is lacking, and you should all learn to love what you’ve got.
Sure my nose is pointy from a certain angle and if I smile with my teeth it makes my nostrils flare out. My lips are no where near as voluptuous as Angelina Jolie’s, and my cheekbones neither prominent as Megan Fox’s.
I am happy within my skin, learning to love what I’ve got; I love my green eyes, my freckles in the summer and my little beauty spot above my lip.
You can embrace these all with make-up, bringing out your best features - the power of make-up is truly astonishing. I’m not saying to hind behind a wall of make-up, i’m telling you to exentiuate your best beautiful features.
