i referenced this constantly, so when i say "matisse image" or "cut out" this is what i'm talking about!

for this look, i wanted to recreate a matisse painting on my face, but do my own personal transformation of it. there are some things omitted as you may notice, like the addition of white and black stars. i also added additional details to make it pop out more. i wanted to meld this matisse painting with my actual face, like i've become the art. to me the true power of makeup is its ability to be used as an art form, which is something i try to prove often on this channel. i hope to convince everyone of this someday.

making this face awards video was QUITE the process. i had a completely different plan in mind, but one key item failed to arrive on time, so i had to switch to plan B. this was plan B. i spent about a week filming non-makeup stuff (mainly the intro, most of the clips did not make it into this video sadly). doing the entire makeup look took me 6 hours. i edited this video from sunday until wednesday. then, while exporting, the electricity cut off in my house while I was sleeping (which was GREAT to wake up to), and when i restarted my editing program half of the footage was missing. so i had to spend additional time scrambling to put the video back together, when the video was due that day. if the editing seems a bit off, or the voiceover isn't in sync, it's because of that. the video just barely exported before midnight so...phew. that was a bit TOO MUCH excitement for me ok
