I wrote this story for you,
it didn’t take me long to write,
these were just the scattered thoughts
I found in the attic of my mind and I
thought you should hear these thoughts of mine,
for those of you who still hide
behind the dark tears…

Maybe you don’t want to hear this
but I know what it’s like… you know,
that empty feeling when you believe
no one understands you and no one
can save you… that feeling of pure nothingness.

It’s not a fun feeling, I know that
But it’s not a forever feeling, I also know that

Here’s where my story begins...

I’d wake up everyday & paint a face for
the world to accept but at night I’d wipe
it all away to reveal the dark tears that
stained my face

If that was ever you, alone in your room
with the darkness surrounding you,
know that you’re not alone.

I’d sit at the table before heading out
for the day, trying my best to muster up
the strength to put on a smiley face
so that everyone would think that I’m okay

If that was ever you, wiping away your tears
before anyone could see, know that
it’s okay to not be okay

I’d surround myself with people trying my
best to conversate about whatever they were up to.
I’d speak some words but they get lost in the rumble.
I was speaking but I wasn’t being listened to

If that was ever you, trying to speak up, trying to
be heard, know that I’m listening…

I’d stand in front of the mirror and look back at
my reflection that read nothing, it said nothing
and it felt nothing…

It that was ever you, watching your life drain
from your soul, know that mirrors can lie
and you are so much more than nothing.

I wanted to give up, these dark thoughts became
too heavy. I wanted no more of this and I wanted
to end everything already

Now I’m telling you, if that was EVER you,
the only thing you’re ending is the feeling of
these thoughts. Your life is too worthy, too great
to be consumed by a pain like that.

My dark thoughts brought dark tears but now
I store my thoughts away in the attic of my mind
because I get it… sometimes they’re too hard to throw away

Now I embrace the pain because what was once
suffering for me to endure has now blossomed into
strength & wisdom for me to share

If your dark thoughts ever become too much
for you, listen to these words I’m about to tell you…

You are worthy, you are great, you are loved & you are strong.
Maybe life will never be perfect and it’s okay
to have bad days but know that this life is YOURS.
Your pains, your darkness and your past
does not define your present or your future.
And if you want to walk this life with your dark tears,
I’ll be right by your side with my dark tears too.

I know this isn't like my normal beauty videos but this was story I really wanted to share with you guys... for those who don't know I'm a closet writer.
