Coconut oil can break you out it's not non-comedogenic and I wouldn't put toothpaste on your face if you're using that.

Ok but is there an other oil that I can use for instead of coconut or anything? X.

Neutrogena oil free ( it's orange ) and just water the best thing to do is just leave your skin alone and only wash morning and night. stop washing with SO many products.. Just leave your skin alone. Mine have been very inflamed and redness.
Stick to one product
Don't wash too much
Drink water
Exfoliate WHEN NEEDED.
Clean pillow cases keep hair off pillowcases
Oh and also I just bought the aloe vera gel a couple hours ago and I can already see the redness going down.. Maybe you should try something like it.

I wouldn't say goto dermatologist , MY reasoning is because for 1 you spend money everytime you need more , and everytime you go back your sling might need more stronger drugs because your skin gets used to the products.. You know how people say sometimes you'll have to switch face products because your face gets used to it and you need another product. your skin will get used to having stronger and stronger drugs.

I respectfully disagree Autumn. My mom works in an office that deals with skincare and she's helped many of her patients overcome acne. It's especially helpful through puberty and that's a myth you don't just get use to it my mom has worked almost 30 years in the field so I feel like she knows what she's talking about.

Also insurance helps so it's not even that expensive.

For Jacqlyn (another BL user) the only thing that worked for her was going to a derm and getting put on accutane.

My mom has many patients on Accutane I've heard her say it's amazing I don't have acne so I don't need anything though :)

But I hear that's for severe cases that for respond to other prescribed treatments so this girl wouldn't need it :)

Don't * not for.

Oh yes Leona! I wasn't suggesting that she should use accutane. That was for Autumn because she said you shouldn't go to a derm.

I agree with Autumn but, at the same time, I don't. With acne, it's hard to tell if the effect a product has on your face will be eternal. Due to hormones, a lot of that can change. If you want really good products to eliminate your blemishes/acne, I do not suggest drugstore products, they have a poor amount of the active ingredient that is supposed to make the acne go away. I'd say go to a dermatologist, because, the products she will give you will most likely actually work. But, like cleansers, the medication/products she give you, your skin could get used to. But, since your question was about tips to reduce your acne, I suggest tea tree oil! Dab some onto a makeup pad and dab it on your blemishes, tea tree oil kills bacteria, therefore, it will stop other blemishes to form while killing the bacteria in your present ones, while drying them out. I guarantee that you will see a difference the day after. I use it on the pimples I get from my period, and they go away in 2 days! Don't do any home DIY's like lemon juice or toothpaste. Your just going to massively irritate your blemishes and make them much worse. So, I thumbs down on DIY's.
I hope I helped you, good luck ☺️

I would totally recommend going to the dermatologist. I had horrible hormonal acne and bad cystic acne. For a year, I took an oral antibiotic which helped clear stuff up, and then I switched to birth control coupled with a topical antibiotic. I no longer have hormonal break out and the cystic acne has gone down dramatically, but is still on the way to clearing up completely. Tbh I was hesitant about going to a derm at first, but it totally paid off. I'm so happy with my skin now. If it's an option for you, give it a try. They're professionals and really know what can be done to help you.
