I have been recently eyeing the lancome genifique and visionnaire serums, was wondering if any of you ladies use these and what your opinion is. Are they really worth the hefty price tag or is it just marketing to make you think they must be amazing as they're so expensive? In saying that I'd be happy to pay for it if they're worth it. Interested to hear your thoughts.

The visionaire is pretty much the same as the L'Or?al skin perfection serum but way cheaper, I use it and love it! my mum has the genefique and likes it but I wouldn't buy it as its too expensive for my budget! you should check Paula's choice website for more accurate review...

Good idea Rebecca, I'll do that, encouraging to hear MG that your mum in law enjoys using it. Rebecca do you think your mum has noticed it making a difference to her skin?

I tried the visionnaire serum and I think it was just ok. I really did not see a notable difference. I did get some products by Vi Derm at a medspa which are similarly priced and I think they are more effective and had more ingredients proven effective to fight aging and improve skin (retinol, glycolic acid, vitamin c, salicylic acid) compared to the Lancôme line.

She uses a lot of skincare from lancome like the day and night cream the genefique and she has used the visionaire too, she is 51 and everyone always tells her she looks like she is 40 so it must be doing something for her :) give it a go if you can afford it :) or try get some samples to see how you like it :)

Wow Rebecca that sounds great then, I'll see about getting some samples to try and see what I think of them, thanks for your help :-) Thanks also for your help Maggie, those products sound like they are definitely worth finding out about, I'm in the UK tho so I'm not sure how easy they would be to get but I'll definitely Google them and see what I can find out :-)

Lancome is great about giving free samples and my first one of the genifique lasted a month! Like any product it may or may not work for you and sampling is the best way to find out. I just bought the full sized because I love it so much. I'm 20 with fair combination skin for reference
