My cousin wants me to dye her hair again! She wants an unnatural color and I was thinking like a purple ad turquoise ombré :)! Where can I buy these colors and what brands work well? Also how do you do ombré lol! I'm new to this. I've only dyed her hair red with blonde highlights before which was pretty easy. Ombré seems a lot harder though :(!
Please help!
Thanks!!

Seeing that the two colors are not natural and you have little to no experience with the style she wants I would tell her to go to a professional. Only because it's a huge process and you don't want to do any damage to the hair.

If you still decide you want to attempt it, there are always step by step tutorials. good luck!

Thanks you Nina :) I think I will just do a lot of research, cause she really wants me to do it.

Manic Panic works good for unnatural colors. They have a lot of options to choose from too:)

Directions makes gorgeous pastel colors. I bought lavender & silver and mixed the two. It was perfect. Manic Panic is in my hair currently, it has nice color choices but fades to nothing very quickly. I strongly recommend looking in to Directions, but it's not sold here in the US. I bought it off Amazon.

I have fuchsia and purple ombre (I guess) and I just used the brands they had at Hot Topic haha. I have an assortment of brands (Raw, Manic Panic, Special Effects, etc) and really they pretty much all work the same. I find that my purple doesn't fade almost a all, but I have to touch up the pink every few weeks. I don't recommend going to a professional. Everyone that I've talked to that has gone to a pro for unnatural dye has not had good results. I say just don't be afraid of the color. If you try to hard you will make mistakes. Her hair will be freakin turquoise, if it's a little spotty or whatever NOBODY is going to notice!! Just have fun with it :) Another tip for blending the two colors is to use more dye than you think you need. The more there is the easier it will flow into each other and blend more seamlessly. I've helped my roommates dye their hair unnatural colors for years, and I do it on myself! (With the help of my roommate to get the back of course haha). If you do go for the turquoise into purple I HIGHlY recommend you also get a blue to make the transition easier for the colors. Green and purple aren't next to each other on the color wheel so blending may be a little difficult with just those two colors. A little bit of blue to fuse them together will be very helpful :) But like I said, just have fun with it!! Colored hair is super fun and unique and a GREAT confidence boost!!

Thank you so much Kayli!! Could you also tell me how to do the ombré :? I can't find a video that starts from the scalp and works their way down! Cause I'm doing her whole head!

I just piled on a bunch of dye when I did the semi ombre look haha. I had my roommate help with it as well. Neither of us are professional by ANY stretch of the imagination haha just have fun with it! (Upkeep is kind of a bitch though haha)
