I received a Laura mercier tinted moisturiser for Christmas and used it for the first time today and is the totally wrong color for me. I may or may not have the box it came in (I can't remember I need to look) I have asked the person who brought it for me and they don't have the recipt but they have the order history on their sephora online account.. Do you think I will be able to return it even if it is just for an exchange or gift card thank you!

When I returned something without a receipt they made me show my ID and then they gave me an in store credit. Since you don't have the box, I don't know if they would do that, but they may just switch it out for correct shade without any hassle! All you can do is ask. (: if the color is too light there are some ways to darken it up, if they do say no.

The shade is to dark but thank you.. Hannah yes I have the tube obviously but it came in a little box and I'm not sure if I still have that as it didn't fit in my storage with the box -.-

Check and see if you still have the box; if you don't, when you go to the store immediately show the girl in front that you have it but don't have the box or receipt, and ask if it's possible to return.

They take things without a receipt. But you get store credit. But it's past 30 days and I forget how long the return policy goes for, and you have to add on the days before Christmas that the person bought it. They may.not take it. Next time try to swatch the color the day you get it, that way you can return it if needed.
