Sometimes a really matte light shade all over the lid and just curled lashes with no mascara is a really cool statement for bold lips. Or just a shimmer shadow all over with plenty of mascara. Wings are fun with a natural cut crease. I like to play up one feature or the other, so you could even do a beige/brown smokey eye.
