@Amy, My Brother Went To The Doctor For This Exact Thing. His Eyes Were Exposed To Too Much Sun & They Considered It A "Sunburn".

It may be a burn... but not what we consider 'sunburn'... same thing happens when welders don't protect their eyes.

You can get something called corneal flash burn if your eyes are exposed to to much UV rays the dr may give you artificial tears you can use a cold compress on your eyes to sooth them.
