Do you have a budget of any kind?
Chanel Vitalumiere is really, really nice on dry skin and I don't think it emphasizes any dry patches I've had. Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation is also really wonderful and kind of moistruizing. From the drugstore I like L'Oreal True Match and Maybelline Dream Mousse (don't get confused by the matte one).
What foundation are you currently using? A lot of the time it isn't the foundation, but your skin. Make sure to use a cleanser or dry skin and exfoliate a few times a week to remove those patches. Lastly use a thick moistruizer morning and night! Good luck 💋

Bobbi Brown Extra repair Foundation will lay down dry patches so you don't see them. Just make sure that you don't your face and use a setting spray instead. You may think the foundation is too moist at first but as the day goes on, your face will absorb any excess moisture. (ok to powder nose)

From the drugstore I like loreal true match lumi or borjouis healthy mix serum foundation. High end nars sheer glow, Laura mercier hydrating foundation, Bobbi brown tinted moisturising balm ( which is actually quite medium coverage) and for a lighter look I like mac face and body

I have found using my fingers is the best way to apply the Extra Repair Foundation. And using a "pressing & patting motions so you don't stir up any more flakes on your skin.
