Do any of you notice L'oreal causes a white flashback in pictures? I can't really notice it much because I'm so pale, but I'm wondering if I can still use this in the summer when I get darker. I don't want a white face and brown body in pictures. Just wondering if any of you experience this with true match. Thanks for the help! :)

Yeah I kind of notice it, but I'm also pale lol. It causes a flash because the foundation contains sunscreen. I like to wear foundation that contains sunscreen in the summer to protect my skin. I've been wearing the foundation for almost 2 years now and I think I look fine in pictures in the summer, it's not that noticeable. In the summer just buy a darker shade when you tan but it shouldn't reflect that much to make your face look an extremely different colour compared to your body. I would only change up the foundation if you're taking pictures for something really important like a wedding or prom.

Well, this foundation does contain Mica, which is the mineral that causes flashback in photographs. I'd recommend, if this is really a worry for you, that you find a summer product that doesn't contain Mica so that you don't end up with a very pale face in photographs.

Oh and Shauna, just so you're aware, sunscreen doesn't cause flashback, Mica does =)

I swear I've read on here a thousand times that sunscreen in products causes flashback lol, my mistake.

No worries, I learned that from Jacqueline! She had a very long post about it a while ago that I can no longer find, but it clarified the whole issue for me. feel free to ask her, she would be able to explain better than I can.

Hannah do you know any good ones that don't contain mica? I noticed my MUFE foundation caused a horrible flash back when I wore that. I know it did not contain sunscreen but I don't know if it contained mica or not.

Honestly I'm not sure about that, but that wouldn't make a lot of sense as it's specifically designed to be worn for pictures. I'm not a foundation expert by any means, but here's a link to Jacqueline's profile: http://www.beautylish.com/profile/ivjvvr.

Which MUFE foundation do you use? I heard the MUFE HD Foundation is really good in pictures.

Definitely check out Jacqueline's post, it's super informative. There are many, many things that can cause flashback. Minerals like mica, any kind of shimmery elements, the light is too close or too strong, etc. Titanium dioxide could also be a culprit if I'm remembering correctly, but it isn't found only in sunscreen. It's actually a white pigment that is found in many other makeup products and not just sunscreen. Those are some of the highlights I remembered (and I hope I remembered them accurately lol) from her post, but there are a couple more and she explains very well all the things that could be causing it. I'd definitely read it if you can locate it. I need to like bookmark these posts so I can paste in links from my phone lol.
