so im getting the flash palette for christmas so i can do more of the costume makeup that i love.
but, i have two already (black/white) and whenever i use them as eyeshadow bases, no matter how thin or what base they ALWAYS crease.
Anyone have any idea what i could be doing wrong or tips for using them?!
thanks so much!

What kind of brush are you using to apply them?

Yeah, the flash colors are very creamy so it's easy for them to crease, no matter what brush you use. Be sure to prime and most importantly SET the cream product. Any transparent setting powder would do good but Make Up Forever's HD one is a very very good one to invest in.
As for using them as eyeshadow bases, make sure to still prime the lid with something like Primer Potion or Shadow Insurance before doing so. Anything cream based will tend to crease easily so just make sure to add the extra steps so you can be sure to get the best results!!! :) Hope I helped!

Andrea F., if you're taking about this powder from MUFE then it's a complete rip off in my opinion in regards to cost. http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P210400&categoryId=C13402
The product is 100% silica and a person buying it is paying $30 for 0.35 oz of it. You can buy 100% silica from TKB Trading for under $4 for 1 ounce. http://www.tkbtrading.com/item.php?item_id=290&category_id=13

Hi Colie! You're not using them wrong— the flash colors are grease paints which are, by nature, extremely creamy, blendable, and emollient. These properties are fantastic for creating an array of effects, but yes, THEY CREASE!
You must set these with some sort of powder or they lose their effect. In my experience, priming with even something as strong as UD Primer Potion has no effect, they still crease! I recommend getting matching shadows to pat on top as a way to "seal" the product. You still get the blended effect of a cream product, but you get an extra boost of color and staying powder from setting it with a matching eye shadow. Hope this helps!

^I agree w/ matching the flash color to a color coordinating shadow to set it. I do this w/ my Phsician's Formula shimmer stack gel liners when I use them as a base for my MAC Humid or Contrast shadows. They don't crease, and are budgeproof. I know this because I've come home a little too smashed from the club and crawling into bed w/ a full face on - and the next morning, I still looked fresh and ready [eye makeup wise] to go to the club...
