Hi, I'm on the hunt for good quality cameras that I can use to film videos, what do you recommend?

hey have you found any good cameras

I have a Canon Vixia and I love it.

I've only owned Canon camera's... I own a powershot which I used to record on, & I still use sometimes when my battery is dead on my other cameras, and I love using that over a camcorder because you can take pictures, instead of having a camcorder that doesn't take photo's and you have to take your memory card out, and put it in something else. I also have a Canon Rebel T3i, which I love, yes I know it's expensive but it's great for photography, and the video quality is by far superior to anything else I have ever used! The best thing about the T3i, is that the screen turns just like a camcorder so you can see what you're doing! I'd say stick to Canon if you want a really reliable camera! ( I have another Canon that I've had for the last 5-6 years and it still works like the day I got it!)

I have a Panasonic HDC-TM60, which is an HD camcorder that takes photos. I have seen amazing video come from Canon ELPHs (or IXUS in other countries). If you are just starting out making videos I would suggest an affordable camera for the time being (like the ELPH). I didn't invest into a good camcorder until I was making videos for a year and a half.
