I've heard that you must take your makeup off before going into the shower or bath as the steam makes your pores sweaty and the makeup gets trapped in them and causes spots. Is this true?

When I forget to remove mine before showering there doesn't happen anything to me. I don't know if its only me, but yeh nothing seems to happen :)

That doesn't make sense. how would makeup get "trapped" in a pore? its being run off by the water, or if your skin is sweating (which, my skin has never sweat in the shower [but then again my showers are pretty cool]), wouldn't that "push" the makeup out?
