Or do American shops and people get prepared for autumn ( fall) very quickly? I looked in bath and body works website expecting to see summery scents when I saw pumpkins and spices! And on beautylish people are like" I need some clothes for fall or " fall outfits" please can someone explain?;)

American stores are usually one season ahead of whatever is current. Sometimes, it's maddening, but on the upside it makes for sweet clearance deals when they are switching seasons.

At most stores. I live in America and the weather can be warm one day and cool the next. Right now it's raining though lol. At most stores there's a variety of summer clothes and fall/winter clothing. The things is, most summer outfits get cheaper. I went shopping a few days ago and there was a lot of summer clothing still out, as well as clothing for the fall. It's probably because you were on the website instead of the store.

If there are production issues it's good to be ahead. Also when planning sale events and promotions in advance you have to know what you'll be working with. Its a crazy cycle if preparation.
