Hi,
I'd appreciate your input: I have a mother of the groom coming up. She never puts on makeup, has fair skin, brown eyes and a dark navy dress. Her eyes are a bit droopy. What colors/looks would you suggest? Especially for the eye look. Pictures appreciated. Thanks a lot!!

Definitely go for matte shadows if she has wrinkles.

Matte eye shadows, bronzer & peachy blushes, pink lips, & a good mascara.

Thank you all for answering. Jacqueline, obviously I prefer working on younger skin :), but that's part of the job. In the past, for blushes, I used cream blushes, eyes - no glittery products, mainly mattes. In this case, she is actually not that wrinkled, but I wanted out get more makeup looks for a person who is obviously going to be photographed as the mother of the groom, but usually doesn't put on her makeup. Would you skip the eyeliner? Or leave the gel liner, but line with eyeshadow? I love to hear what other people think/ do, especially professionals in the field.

If she doesn't usually wear makeup I wouldn't put a lot on her. Just something to brighten her up a bit. I'm a professional. I would go with a sheer luminizing(sp?) bb cream for a foundation. Or mix some face cream with foundation. Eye concealer if necessary. and to go with navy a cream blush in a light neutral dusty rose type pink and a similar lip. An eyeshadow stick in a med taupe brown or a smudged kohl liner. Whatever you use not heavy or bold. Def light mascara coat or two to make her eyes pop. Everything slightly darker than her natural features and brighten her face. You don't want her to feel uncomfortable or blame anyone if she looks like a clown in the pics!

Thank you all for answering. I'll stick to neutral and matte eye shadow shades, dusty rose cream blush, thin gel liner ( my preferred way of lining) and will keep it thin. As for lipcolor, I won't do anything too bold, as shje is totally not used to having any color on her lips. Thanks ladies!

I think just mascara and a bit of blush and lipstick.
