I need hip surgery and am currently taking 20 mg oxys (oxycodone) and 3 T4s (60mg codeine x3) a day, and have noticed my face breaking out more then before. I've been on the pills six months and have had one dose age increase and getting another increase at my next apt.
I was wondering if anyone here has taken painkillers and noticed a change in their skin? I'm trying to find the issue so I can fix it all together, and of that's the cause then I'm Leary about the dosage increase... Help me please!

You have to inform your doctor of that it can be you are allergic to one of the medications or the dosage is 2 high and thats how your bidy reacts 2 the medication do you ever get itchy or break out in hives on other parts of your body ass well?

Yep. Painkillers screwed up my skin as well. I simply stopped taking them and just dealt with the pain via alternative relaxation methods. If you're not drinking a lot of water to allow the meds to flush out your system that can contribute to skin breaking out. I guzzled water like my life depended on it but it just didn't solve it for me. It was just a straight side-effect for me.

Keesha yes I get insanely itchy two hours after but everyone gets itchy, that's just a reaction that happens. And thanks for the replies. I can't not take them though I hae three kids and a house full of stairs without then I can't move :( I'll try drinking more water thought.
