I've been using these new Clearasil pads for my acne and for the first two weeks they were great!! But now all of a sudden my chin has been really dry and flaky and I've put lotion on it and it just dries it out!! It's just on my chin!! Please help!! 😩

Try a heavier lotion, and apply it multiple times a day. At night, apply a lotion, wait for it to sink in, and then apply Vaseline or some kind of oil to seal the moisture in.

Its salicylic acid so thats probably drying it out. Don't use it every day. Maybe switch to every other day or every three days etc. what kinda face lotion are you using? Maybe exfoliate to get rid of the flakes.

I get dry in only certain place two.when I use products that dry me out it can also be the cold whether I recommend for night time the body shop vitamin e night time moisturizer.

Okay, this has happened to me before. Here's what I did to get rid of it.
1. Exfoliate with a scrub or just wet a rag. Don't scrub too hard.

2. Use a toner to get rid of the dead skin.

3. Use a really thick moisturizer. Use a little during the day, but at night use as much as you can rub in.

5. Repeat every day until it's cleared up, and after that continue to do these steps as you need. (Moisturize everyday, but you can exfoliate/tone every couple days.)

All scrubs, washes, and facial pads are usually drying especially if they contain salicylic acid. I recommend laying off the pads for now, and moisturize several times a day with a gentle moisturizer for sensitive skin in addition to vaseline. When your skin returns to normal, cut back on your use of the pads to once a day or even every other day. Whenever you don't use the pads, wash your face with Dove beauty bar. It's moisturizing and very gentle which is why it's perfect for in between use of an acne product.

Get the neutrogena toner if you have oily skin. It'll get rid of the oil. It's called acne stress control by neutrogena

You can buy the oxy pads that contain acne medication and a soothing complex, I have them and they don't dry out my skin!

I just recently bought yes to tomatoes acne moisturizer I had this same problem and try a bunch of things but this was the only product that took away the dryness and controlled my oily skin. It's amazing and even smells good. It also helped my acne.
