I plan to do a drastic change to my hair in the next couple months and I'd like to know what I'm getting myself into and if it's a good idea.
Firstly, my hair's dark and lightish brown naturally, also naturally curly, and doesn't like to take to dye and it's rather hard to bleach since I've had children.
Would it be a good idea to lighten my hair to light pale blonde or would that royally screw my hair? Would a stylist be able to achieve the look I'm going for, almost platinum, without ruining my hair?
Any help at all or experiences would be much appreciated :o)

If you want your hair to stay at a reasonably healthy state then getting a real heavy hi light done I'd the best way to go. It will take a little longer but you will have healthier hair in the long run. It's hard to get a true platinum and very few look good with true platinum but only way to know is to try it

Oh so each time you go just get a heavy hi light and it will eventually get to the stage where you just need a root touch up

I was thinking even lighten by going to a lighter brown as well, since I have natural light brown throughout, and gradually lightening that way. Thanks :o)
