I'm a hairstylist and I promise you drug store/ Walmart brand shampoos will never do what they say they do! All they are is packaging and watered down soap! You need to do a consultation with your stylist or if you don't go to one or have a regular one go to a salon that carries products and get exactly what you need! My personal opinion would be the Paul Mitchell Awapuhi shampoo and cream rinse, it's seriously the best.

Compare any salon brand shampoo to a drugstore one. I swear you'll see the same ingredients you see in drugstore ones. Actually almost all my faves are drugstore (although my all time fave is Tigi's Oatmeal and Honey shampoo/condish). However, Garnier is a great drugstore brand. I hope it works for you :)

Trust it's about ingredients, not the name.

Garnier has great products. As does herbal essences and they smell really good unlike some of the salon brands. Garnier should work fine and try not to brush your hair when its wet that will help a little.

I can write ingredients on a bottle and put it on a shelf but it doesn't mean that I works like its suppose to.
Almost all of my clients use my products because they see a difference in what they were using before... It's not about the name it's quality of the product that you get when you use it , when a shampoo says "awesome volume" I expect to see it when I blow dry my hair. I have never gotten results from a drugstore brand shampoo that they promise, sorry I'm a firm believer

I have never heard of a shampoo in 20+ years as a salon pro that fights hair loss other than Nioxin, Bosley, etc. I'll be interested to hear what it does for you, keep us posted. Interesting

My husband is a chemist and he said its about the ingredients and where the beneficial nutrients are placed in the list. He said there are some high end brands out there that are nothing but big scams because he has found some drug store brands to maintain the same ingredients as the high end.

FYI Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Shampoo contains sodium laureth sulfate which is drying on the hair. Since its second in the ingredient list its not wise for color treated hair to use this Lindsey K. It will fade the color at a faster rate and give it that dull appearance after a while.

If your applying heat to your hair@ Tori K. on a daily basis I highly advise using something more moisturizing and intensive than Garnier. Hair shedding is natural unless you are losing huge clumps of hair in one washing then its not something to be alarmed about. If the hair is coming out at the bulb (the root) and not breaking mid-shaft then you could be having scalp issues. Like Mary E mentioned the only products that are scientifically proven to reduce hair loss is Nioxin and Bosley. Those companies are exclusively to the study and research on hair loss so if Garnier happens to offer some improvement please do share. :)

I use shea moisture shampoo works wonders. And I just dab a good tablespoon of coconut oil on my damp hair nbit detangles wonderfully and keeps it Shiney, :)

i like it :-) my hair as thining suuuper bad (its still very thin) but doesnt seem to be falling as much i didnt know if it was the shampoo so i used the clear one (worst idea ever) my hair was shedding in clumps went back to the fall fight havent had an issue not saying it works but my hair isnt falling as much as it was with other brands i do not how ever like the conditioner its very heavy and gross
