I use a very good coverage under eye concealer but it always ends up looking cakey and settling into my lines. I use a moisurizer and primer before, then BB cream and power after, How can I fix this?

Same problem, I am starting to think my face will never find the right concealer and foundation.

Use a bb stick! Just roll on one layer and then dab concealer gently.

@karissa have you ever tried a color correcting concealer?

After your apply the concealer, WAIT about 5 minutes for everything to set. THEN apply your powder. Do your brows or eyeshadow in the mean time lol. Letting your base set first makes a better looking finish. Hope I helped :)

Is there any way to fix this problem with the makeup I already have? I just bought new makeup and I'm a poor college student :( I have other concealers, but they all do the same

@preeti no I have not, but the coverage isn't the problem, it's the settling. Would that make a difference? I'm so clueless when it comes to makeup, haha. But if you need to know about hair, I'm your girl!! ;)

@kaitlin I have actually done that the last couple days. Maybe I am just doomed!

I just re-read your first post. Put on the bbcream first! Concealer second. Wait. Then powder. :))

Tap the concealer into your skin with your ring finger.

Maybe you are applying too many products? just try primer, concealer and powder.. I'm just guessing but you may try :)

Maybe try putting the concealer on after you finished everything else. And then set it with a powder. Possibly try a liquid concealer, I used a concealer crayon and it made it look cakey and kind of dry under my eye, so I switched to a liquid concealer.

It maybe that you are using to much and putting it in the wrong place. It does take time to get it right. I know you don't want to buy more products but it will make a difference if you use something like an undereye illuminator concealer. I use one by rimmel and the garnier eye role on and I get better results than a normal concealer (I find that these are a bit heavy under the eye) Also watching vids on youtube will help you to learn some new techniques to try out. Good luck.

Thanks ladies. I will try using less products

Maybe try using a damp sponge like the beauty blender. It may take away the excess product but keep your undereye covered. :)

Yesterday I put my BB cream on lightly, then my concealer, let it set while I did my eye makeup then finished with powder. It definitely didn't look cakey!!

Try using a silicone based primer because it will fill in any fine lines or creases before you even apply the concealer
