Even though you're only washing your hair once a week you might try conditioning it once or twice in between shampoos. Use a really good conditioner and put it all the way through EVEN on your scalp. My hair and scalp get very dry and itchy sometimes, especially in the winter, and this seems to work for me. I also do a rinse with cider vinegar once in a while. I use maybe half a cup of cider vinegar and pour it all over my scalp at the end of my shower, then give it a light rinse. It does kind of make ur hair smell if you get sweaty or something, but I don't have a problem with it smelling bad otherwise. I'm not sure why this helps (maybe the ph of my scalp is off or something). If you do try this I don't recommend using regular white vinegar.

I'm having the same problem right now. In the past I used Selsun Blue and it always worked and this time around I bought a different formula of the same brand shampoo and it's not helping much, might have to switch back. I can't remember what formula it was exactly, but it had a green cap :)

I use SEA BREEZE on my clients and myself, just to kill any bacteria when using hair tools, b4 and after, and i notice that it has help me...so i use a cotton ball and add it on my scalp every other day, and i use it on my male clients too.

I have seborrheic dermatitis, which is dandruff on steroids to put it simply. I have used Selsun Blue(the original formula) and it worked really well. My dermatologist could even see a difference when I used it. Just don't get the Selsun Blue that has salicylic acid in it and says something about being a scrub; it does not work. Another shampoo that works and is a little cheaper is Head and Shoulders Clinical Strength. I am currently using this and I would not use it more than once or twice a week. Otherwise, it may turn your scalp orange for a few days.

if you want to try an at home remedy maybe try using an egg yolk mask.. the sulfur in it should help get rid of dandruff and the yolk helps moisturize your scalp.

I would say try selsen blue all dandruff is really is overactive oil glands in the scalp so the key is get it on the dry side u may want to cut back on the amount of products u use with oil in it and Neutrogena has two different products that work one that has salacyic acid which t-sal and a t-gel which is sulfur based and has a smell that may work also
