Now that I've looked back through my stash this morning, I feel like NYC Retro Red pulls a little more neutral on the undertones. My Kevyn Aucoin lipstick in Blood Roses has the most overt blue tones of anything in my stash, but it is fairly expensive. NYC lippie is fairly long-lasting on me, though slightly drying. Blood Roses is very emollient and rich, but tends to bleed a bit. I also dug a Maybelline lippie out in the shade Midnight Red and my beloved Guerlain KissKiss lippie is shade 525 (which I believe has since been discontinued). The Maybelline is a lovely shade but a bit sheer and requires a lot of layering; it also tends to bleed. The Guerlain shade is long-wearing on me without being too drying.

Revlon Super Lustrous in "Certainly Red" is a true blue-red with a very nice texture. Good lasting power, too. My favorite oxblood is Super Lustrous "Black Cherry." So gorgeous.
