Hi!

I'm new to beautylish but I am already loving this app! I've recently been on the hunt for a new foundation. For years I used bare minerals however I wanted a change. For an everyday look I don't want much coverage but I want something to even out my skin tone. I have sensitive skin which is prone to eczema breakouts.

I used MAC's tinted moisturizer for a while but felt I needed more coverage. I've been using Urban Decay's naked foundation for the past few days which I'm actually liking a lot! I picked a shade that blends pretty well with my jawline but I've noticed that my neck and shoulders as well as the rest of my body is VERY tanned compared to my much lighter face. Any suggestions? Should I go for a darker shade?

I asked the same thing earlier and everyone told me to match my foundation to my chest, which is a lot darker. It's nice to know I'm not the only one that had this problem though! :)

Thank you Jacqueline!

Sasha - I think I've been trying to avoid admitting that my tanned skin has not gotten lighter from my tropical vacations, as it normally does after a while :(

Ok you must be my long lost sister- I swear I did the exact same thing as you... Bare minerals for years, but then wanted a change, so I went to a BB and now I'm using UD Naked lol. My face is so much lighter than the rest of my body too! I don't have any advice (sorry) but I see Jacqueline already answered and she's amazing! Do whatever she says! Lol! Welcome to beautylish!

Why don't you use self tanner on your face to get it to match your body.

It is great that you don't allow your face to get sun ray: so dangerous!! Regarding your foundation, find one that is like your decolte and then apply it on your nose, face bones and forehead ( less on the cheeck) to

To apply it I would reccomend to use a brush to smudge good the foundation. My favourite: Le Teint Touche Eclat by Yves Saint Laurent.. It glows your skin, doesn't mask and covers your natural light.. Sometimes you might need to use two colors of foundation to make the perfect combinarion.. So what!? That makes you UNIQUE!! Have fun and tell me how ir works!

@ VB & Rosanna add me to you list of long lost sisters. lol I also use BM and I also have super sensitive skin that's prone to eczema. Seriously. lol I just bought Smashbox's BB Cream in Medium and it's a teensy bit too dark for me, BUT the coverage is great. It's light but perfects me and most importantly no breakouts...knock wood. Once I get my summer tan it will be a perfect match.

I would research what works with eczema though you don't want to irritate your skin. Choose a moisturizer and face wash that creates a skin barrier. Like cerave or cetaphil. Hope that helps but I agree find one to match your neck. For full coverage I love Revlon colorstay for sure. I'd you don't like it you can just keep the receipt and return it.

Thank you ladies!

Chelsea- I've done quite a bit of research but I'm finding what works through trial and error. I've seen dermatologists who recommend cerave and cetaphil but they do not provide enough moisture for me (I.e. my skin still feels tight and dry). Some days are better than others and I've found that I need to switch my moisturizer brands every so often. Right now I'm using aveeno
