I have never tried the ELF version so I can't speak on it's behalf but I have tried both the NYX jumbo eye pencils and various other brands. The NYX pencils are good. A cult favorite but if you have oily lids or if you normally experience creasing than these aren't for you. The texture is very creamy which makes application a dream but causing creasing especially if you don't layer a powder product on top of it. If you are looking for a cheaper alternative you should try the LA Colors Eyeshadow pencil. There are many different colors and they are only $1.50 a piece. You are welcome...in my personal opinion the Maybelline Color Tattoo's trump any other cream/pencil eyeshadow I have ever tried...if you haven't ever tried them you definitely should.
