Hmmm well, a high porosity hair type means your hair doesn't hold onto color that good.
A toner merely stains the hair.
A permanent hair color should last longer but due to the porosity of the hair it'll still fade.
When you used the color remover it sort of... Took out the hair color/lightened the hair.
Then you tried coloring over it but the synthetic dye just isn't sticking to your hair type.
You'll just have to keep coloring it till it grows out and you can cut off all the previously stripped hair.
But, if it's growing orange then maybe your hair is just naturally lightening.
Also, it could be due to sun exposure which actually can lighten the hair a bit.
My hair is naturally like a jet black and I used to walk home from school.
My instructor at the time noticed my hair at the top was a very dark brown whereas the lower parts of my hair were very much pitch black lol

Purchase an equalizing solution - Sally's should sell one - and it'll equalize the porosity of your hair. Most likely what happened is that the strands that keep fading quickly are way more porous than the rest of your hair so it won't hold color. Also do a protein treatment, ApHogee makes a good one. Hope that helps!

You need a protein treatment. I recommend using a semi permanent hair color because you need to deposit color back to your hair.
