I recommend sulfate free shampoo, leave in conditioner and argan oil. A deep conditioning treatment once a week.

Patty knows what she's talking about when it comes to this stuff so I'd do what she suggested there is another thing you can do but it's not for everyone but I do it and my super dry hair is not dry at all its super healthy and thick and moisturized. look up co washing or the no poo regime it's when you stop using shampoo completely and only wash with a cleansing conditioner that's sulfate free and free if a lot of harmful chemicals that hair is actually not suppose to have back in the day woman didn't have shampoo and they would brush their hair for long periods of time to move the oils down from the scalp to the ends and when they did wash it would just be a rinse and ofcourse you would think man my hair would get nasty and itchy and yes some people do go through a purge period where the scalp is like hey no more shampoo so it starts creating lots of oil but if you bear with it and stick to co washing it will stop and get use to it and stop over producing oil and there will be just enough produced then to keep your hair healthy now some people don't go through the purge especially if your hair is naturally dry and curly mine is and luckily I didn't experience no purge. like I said this isn't for everyone but it does work for my hair and other people who do this my hair dresser couldn't belive how healthy my hair is when she colored it and I told her what I do and she was like whaaatttt hahaha and now she has started and she is currently growing out a pixie and her hair is growing fast with no damage so it looks like it's growing longer faster! so look it up its worth it if you want to commit to it.

I also use cleansing conditioner and it was the best thing that happened to my hair. You can also co wash with any conditioner that is silicone free. Right now I am loving how the l'oreal extraordinary oil complex for very dry, curly hair leaves my hair.

I went through the same scenario as you, like Patty said, use sulfate and alcohol free shampoos and steer towards more "natural" and "organic" products. Always check your labels. Try not to wash your hair as often and do deep conditioning treatments
