I have really dry, red , blotchy acne prone skin😩 and I'm planning on trying one of these. Which one is right for me?

Most probably both are right. Start slowly and one at a time. You should introduce a good oil or serum to address the dryness, these products can be drying.

I forgot to say: BHA will dissolve the gunk under your skin and AHA will strip the top layer of your skin. But if your skin is in such a bad place to start with, you should review your routine, in particular your cleanser. Using oils would be better or going sulfate free.

An AHA is more gentle for dry skin but if you want more info - paulas choice has a comparison on her website between the AHA products and BHA products here: http://www.paulaschoice.com/expert-advice/anti-aging/_/how-to-exfoliate-skin
She has a lot of information on her website about her products and skin care in general

I can only speak for the 8% Aha gel and its amazing. I have dry/normal skin and it really gives a good exfoliation (but not too much). I would recommend it.

Every evening sounds way too much for me. I use BHA every two weeks to a month!

Nathalie you can get AHA and BHA treatments that are mean for daily use, weekly use or monthly use. I use the Paula's choice 10% AHA weekly treatment - and I use it twice a week.

I agree. I followed Paula's directions and it's made my skin super dehydrated and just flaky. My glow was GONE. I now use it twice a week and it's made a world of difference! I just had a little talk with rozberry at how her directions need explain that it needs to be introduced slowly. My tiny clogged pores on the tops of my cheeks are slowly going away now, it's been there for YEARS.
I use BHA one evening, next evening I just moisturize, then clarisonic, then the next just moisturize and repeat. It's worked so well, you just have to find your balance. Good luck!

Shannie I use my paula's choice bha almost every evening and for the first month of use I had a super flaky nose (I use it mostly on my nose ). my nose had always been a bit flaky and after that first month was over it was so much less flaky than ever before, sometimes it's even completely smooth. maybe it will also just take your skin some getting used to. :)

Sabrina, you can, but it doesn't mean you should. In my experience it's better using a stronger product less often.
