Hi,
Just wondering if there is a best "type" of brush/applicator to apply foundation? If there is, how do you match the foundation type to the "right" brush?
Thanks for the discussion.

It's all personal preference, personally I like to go in with a flat foundation brush, then go over it with a beauty blender!

Yeah, it's personal preference.
sometimes I like using a flat top kabuki.
But I always go back to my beauty blender.

Agree with the ladies above, it's most definitely personal preference. I enjoy using the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush the most to apply foundation/concealer, although I will occasionally use a stippling brush or my beauty blender.

Yes it is personal preference but it also depends on the foundation you're using, in my opinion. I mostly use liquid foundations and I love using a dense flat top kabuki.

I use my beauty blender to apply my matte full coverage foundation and a flat brush to apply CC cream. Like everyone else said, its personal preference. :)

I notice beauty blender gives a more natural finish as the end result but I use both. I sometimes even stipple my damp beauty blender after I'm done setting my face makeup just to even everything out

It definitely depends on what type of foundation you use. I found that a fluffy kabuki brush works better for powder and cream foundations where a stippling brush works better for liquid. I've tried knock offs of the beauty blender with applying liquid foundation but find it doesn't look as good when I just use it for blending my concealer and foundation. I will actually buy a real beauty blender to compare though

Thanks all. I actually have the different types of brushes and was seeking discussion. I'll also say that I has the SK beauty sponge and it got kind of grungy, so I replaced it with the real Beauty Blender. No comparison...the BB is so much better at blending and is much softer on the skin. No dupes on this one. I also use the RT face brush, but I recently noticed that its shape is changing. I think its from wear as I've had it a few years now. So, I just bought a new multi task brush from Sephora and I'll see how that works.
Thanks for the thoughts.
