For some reason I started to break out quite a bit on my cheeks, around on my lips, but mainly on the chin. I bought Dr. Lin Acne spot corrector and it has 5% benzoyl peroxide and I've been using it on the areas that I mentioned due to my acne scarring and maybe two days later my face was extremely dry and I was very itchy and formed a small rash under my eye area and it was swollen. I am pretty convenience that this product caused my face to act up like this. Mind you, I used the Aveeno face moisturizer after applying the Dr. Lin to keep it moisturized.

I will be taking this product back to Ulta and I was wondering if there is any products in mind that I can purchase at Ulta that contributes to acne scarring and acne. My price range is anything up to $75.00. Also a good moisturizer.

I currently use Roc face cleanser which I totally love, Glam Glow face mask (in the white jar) and tea tree toner as well (so I am good in this category)

I just need some suggestions on a moisturizer, acne scarring cream, something to keep my acne at bay, and a spot treatment if I have a pimple forming.

For white heads and red pimples I use mario badescus drying lotion. Also was that you first time using aveeno lotion? Because I had a reaction similar to what you described about a year n a half ago because of that moisturuzer. Only reaction I've ever had to a product like that it was weird.

Also for you acne scarring I recommend a vitamin c serum for the hyper pigmentation scars.

I actually been using the Aveeno for a few months now and never had a problem with it. It does have.5% Sacylic Acid in it.

I was looking at the drying lotion and I was a little skeptical. How do you like it?

Where can I purchase the Vitamin C serum? Is it heavy because my skin does get oily by the end of the day.

I recommend the body shop vitamin e moisturizer, especially if you have scarring. It's super lightweight and didn't contribute to my acne, plus it helped with hyper pigmentation.

I feel like the drying lotion does an okay job. Some pimples it really reduces redness and shrinks others doesn't seem to help as much. However I really recommend the vitamin c serum. I use the one by mario badescu but there are other more expensive brands out there. This serum has not only gotten rid of so many scars within two weeks but it also tightened my pores and made my skin glow. I'm in love! As long as you don't use too much you should be fine. 3-4 droplets is recommended every other night under moisturuzer. I use it every night but that's just me. My skin is combination and acne prone and I've had no irritation from it.

Biore acne face wash is really good. my thing is, is that when you using a face wash and you can feel it working on your skin, then that's just it, it's not. it smells nice, and it really works.

My scars have been fading since I started using Peter Thomas Roth peel pads and Ole Henriksen truth serum (which is a vitamin c serum)

As for blackheads, I do a mask twice a week either Queen Helene, glam glow, or tarte clay mask. They all seem to work, so I'm going to just stick with the cheapie one when the others run out:) (the queen helene is about $4!)

Angela j how do you like the ole henriksen truth serum? Like I said above I'm using the mario badescu c serum but once I run out I was wondering if I should try another brand now that I can afford it loll.

They have Ole Henriksen products at stores like marshall's and TJ Maxx a lot. It ends up being cheaper. Maybe keep an eye out :)
