I'm not actually sure what type of skin I have, so can anyone give me a definition of each of the types?

I found this great discription on Sisley - that might help :)
http://www.sisley-paris.com/en-US/define-the-skin-type-and-the-state-of-the-skin
But its mostly about feeling your skin! Do your skin get oily very easy? Or is it super dry... or just a litte dry? Do you have an oily T-zone but dry cheeks? Do you have acne? Is your skin sensitive - Do your skin handle products well? All this can help you determin you skin type :)
Like I have normal skin that with age has a tendensy to go a little dry. My skin is not sensitive as it can handle almost any product I try out :)

So if I have an oily T zone (or at least it feels oily) and normal cheeks - would that be combination?

Sabrina K.
Yes I would say that would be combination :)

Freya, um exactly like that! an important tip that I learn the hard way : make sure not to use product for oily skin on your normal cheeks because it will cause dehydration and in my case, resulted in bug redness on the cheek area. you should use product for combination skin or even better two type of product for each zone! it took me a long time to figure out what caused it. now I'm in rehydration mode to get rid of it!!

You can also go to Sephora if you have one and they have a machine that tells you what's good for what skin type you have and they also tell you :)
