I am a fair skinned girl who can not tan in the sun to save my life. No matter how long I'm out there in the summer I come inside looking the same. I've tried self tanning lotions , only to be left looking like an Oompa Loompa. Does anyone know a self tanning lotion that won't leave me orange, but with a nice bronze glow? And isn't too expensive?

What about a gradual tanner? Like the Dove one? I absolutely love the stuff! And you can build it up to the colour you want... :) x

I'm very tan in the summer- very vamp in the winter, and I can't go in tanning beds so in the winter I use Banana boat "summer color" is amazing! I used to use st. Tropez but this one is more affordable and so natural!

Does the banana boat one smell funky? I just hate that fake tan smell. I use fake bake flawless and it's awesome. It's a spray, so it's a little bit of a process compared to lotions.

No it doesn't give off a smell near as funky as most of the other self tanners I've tried. I hate that fake tan smell too. I've heard the fake bake flawless works great, how much was it?

Right now they have a code for free shipping on order $25.00 or more: SHIPBEAUTY2, the code is also on the main page for Ulta. I definitely recommend this tanner, It has a built in color guard so you can see where it's going, an application mitt that eliminates streaking. Because it is actually a liquid, it dries within minutes. It looks dark with the color guard, but you just rinse that off in the morning and it leaves a nice bronze glow. I will say that because I am so fair, it took about 3 applications to get the color I wanted, but it seriously did not make a dent in the amount of liquid in the bottle.

I like the one from Victoria's Secret for a cheaper one and St Tropaz and Fake Bake are both awesome but a bit more pricey. Definitely get an application mitt, it makes it look flawless!

I'm fair myself and also don't tan naturally and I love St Tropez! Never used fake bake so I may have to investigate it :)
